Pub in Midlands introduces Electronic Cigarettes to “beat” the smoking ban
A pub in the Midlands, Butler’s Arms in Sutton Coldfield, is planning to beat the UK smoking ban by introducing electronic ciggies!
The new ecigarettes or ecigs for short allow the user to inhale a dose of nicotine but without releasing any harmful vapour into the air. I think this is a brilliant idea. Yes the hardcore of smokers hate the ban, some even like it, but this does offer some hope for the forthcoming cold months.
Let’s take a look at the ultimate factor which will affect this new age of smoking fixes and that is the price.
The company which produces them called The Electronic Cigarette Company sells them from £29.99. This is for the main device which then have replacement cartridges. So you don’t want to be stubbing that thing out or throwing it to the ground!

The standard E.Cig starter package comes in at £29.99.
The Ecigs also come in different strengths: Low, medium, high and no nicotine. Quite why you’d pay for an electronic cigarette that provides no nicotine hit is beyond me! They even come in different flavours too: Menthol, Apple, Strawberry or Cherry. It doesn’t end there though… you can also get them in a pipe form (originally titled the E Pipe) and the Ecig comes indifferent colours too – Pink, Black and White!! LOL
I love how their slogan is “A new generation in healthier smoking”. Wonder if they’ll bring out supersize me versions?
Now i can see this doing quite well.. well amongst those that think it’s a worthy price. But i also envisage something else happening… the Designer Electronic Cigarette. Ok where do i start…
The iCig or iCigarette from Apple. Comes in white of course and is cooler than cool with a small patent wheel to change the strength and flavour.
Then there’s all the big fashion labels… Gucci, Prada, Versace, Stella McCartney, D&G, Chanel, to name but a few.
Will be interesting to see how this pans out!
